Who We Are

The Foundation for Integrative Oncology is a physician and practitioner-based grassroots effort which originated from the integrative oncology program at California Cancer Care.  Its Board of Directors is made up of physicians, medical practitioners and other individuals whose lives have been touched by cancer.  The Foundation's Advisory Board includes leading scholars in the area of complementary and integrative medicine, among them Rachel Naomi Remen, M.D., Michael Lerner, Ph.D., & Martin Rossman, M.D.

Who We Help

The Foundation serves people with cancer of all ages and from all walks of life.  Some are in the prime of their lives raising young children and others are retired and struggling to live on a fixed income. All share a passionate desire to find a sense of greater well being, balance, and wholeness in their lives as they struggle with the challenge of cancer.   

All individuals in the San Francisco Bay Area who demonstrate financial need and a desire to utilize integrative healing modalities along with traditional cancer treatment are eligible to apply for financial assistance.  Scholarship recipients must be able to travel to the California Cancer Care sites in Marin and San Mateo counties to receive their treatments from our highly trained and reuptable practitioners.
