Cancer is expensive.  Co-payments, loss of wages, increased transportation, and family/childcare costs are some of the reasons it is so difficult for many to nurture their bodies and souls during a time when it is needed most.  The toll the disease takes on their lives may range from physical symptoms such as anxiety and fear, fatigue, nausea and weight loss, to the severe financial implications it can cause.

At such a critical and expensive time of one’s life, the Foundation offers financial help for cancer patients to make sure they have the resources needed to care for their mind, body, and spirit.  The Foundation provides scholarships for complementary therapies to individuals whose health insurance or personal finances would otherwise not allow them to seek this type of support.

The Foundation relies completely on the generosity of donors to support these scholarships.  As a result of past donors’ kindness, we have been able to offer scholarships to hundreds patients representing more than thousands of treatment sessions for grateful patients.  We cannot do this without you and your support!

With your generous contributions, we can continue to accompany and guide people throughout their cancer journey – from the moment of diagnosis, throughout treatment and beyond.  Please join our healing circle today.  Listed below are some of the many ways you can make a difference.

Employer Matching Programs
Many employers sponsor matching gift programs that match charitable contributions made by their employees. Find out if your company has a matching gift policy, if so, your donation could double in value! We will be happy to forward documentation of your support to your employer.

Make a Memorial Donation
Create a living memorial in the name of a family member or friend. Your tax-deductible donation will show the family of the deceased that you care about their loved one while helping The Foundation of Integrative Oncology realize its goal of bringing healing to more members in our community. We will send a personalized card with your message to the person you designate to notify of your donation (gift amounts will not be indicated).

Stocks and Mutual Funds
These gifts are particularly attractive if they have increased in value since the beginning of this calendar year - you will receive a charitable deduction for the value of the shares, and you will not have to pay any capital gains tax on the increased value of the donated shares.

Planned Giving
There are several ways to include The Foundation of Integrative Oncology in your estate plans:

Each dollar you donate, will support the healing of others. We can't do this without you. Click here for our donation form or contact Tara Clark at (415) 721-9818.

The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization, and contributions are tax-deductible.
